One for the coffee lovers

What do we know about coffee?

In 2008 the UK was drinking 70 million cups of coffee a day. Today we are said to be drinking a whopping 95 million cups of coffee per day!

Some more interesting coffee facts…

  • UK consumers spend over £4bn in high-street coffee shops

  • Latte has claimed the top spot as UK’s most popular choice of coffee, with cappuccino, americano and flat white close behind.

  • Millennials and Gen Z account for 16% of all coffee drinkers in the UK

  • 80% of coffee drinkers in the UK visit a coffee shops once per week

  • 16% of UK coffee drinkers visit a coffee shop at least once per day

What does all that tell us? People (our audiences) love coffee! And what better branded gift to give someone than an item that they can and will use, which revolves around a daily activity that they love to do?!

The benefits of taking a coffee break at work

Coffee breaks can also be screen breaks, although there are no official rules on screen breaks, guidance tells us to take short screen breaks often, rather than longer breaks less frequently throughout the working day.

Stepping away from the desk can be good for posture and stretching your legs for a walk to the kettle, coffee machine or cafe.

Coffee breaks can encourage workplace friendships or the time to chat when it doesn’t have to be all about work.
